Kokoweef refers to a mountain, a mine, and a cave system located in the Ivanpah Mountains of California, near the Nevada border. It’s known for its association with a legend of a “River of Gold” and has been the subject of a long-standing search for a large gold deposit. The area is also home to a unique species of harvestman, Texella kokoweef, found only in Kokoweef Crystal Cave.
